2014 McHenry County Holiday Faire
"Homemade for the Holidays"
Join us this year for the first annual 2014 McHenry County Holiday Faire "Homemade for the Holidays!" On Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14 stop by the fairgrounds with your family to look at our booths set up by local crafters, performances from the Madrigals, visit Craft Corner to create an ornament, take a hayride around the fairgrounds and meet Santa Claus! We will also have demonstrations from our Home Arts department for people to learn different things such as cupcake decorating, knitting, quilting, cross stitch and so much more! Come learn how to do different crafts and then enter them in Open class to compete for premiums in our 2015 fair.
On top of all of this fun, we will also have an opportunity for people to bring in their ginger bread houses and decorated cookies to compete for best decorated item. We will also have a baking contest for chocolate chip cookies and favorite holiday cookie. It will be free to enter! There will be a form to follow shortly to register for the competition. A schedule will be posted soon with all of the events that will take place during these fun filled two days. Check back often!
