SUMMARY:Draft Horse Pulls at the McHenry County Fair
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a night of Pure Horsepower\, at the Horse Pulling Contest at the McHenry\nCounty Fair\, Woodstock\, Illinois. \nThis event will have draft horses\, as a team\, pulling weighted loads in competition.\nUnlike a tractor pull\, where the load gets heavier the further distance they pull\, these\nteams will be pulling a Horse Pulling Dynamometer\, owned and operated by Scott\nSkinkis\, Brillion\, WI. This dynamometer has preset weights that the teams will be\npulling. Each team must pull the load 27 ½ feet for a qualified pull. The teams pulling\nthe full distance will go on to a bigger load.   This is a process of elimination – the team\nthat pulls the biggest load the furthest is declared the winner.\nThe horse pulling competition will start at 6:30 pm in the grandstand on Wednesday\,\nAugust 5th . \nVisit our website www.horsepull.com or look for us on Facebook!

DESCRIPTION:“No need for Sun-Tan lotion at this market\,” state Bob Zurko of Zurko’s Midwest Promotions\, promoter of the special event. It’s a night of “Flea & Fun”!\nIt’s treasure-hunting at its finest\, as dealers gather their “FLEAS & STUFF including Antiques\, Crafts\, County Furniture\, Old Comics\, Toys\, MEMORABILIA of all sorts and lots of Collectibles. The “Late Night Flea Market Fest” affords a great opportunity for folks who generally cannot attend a Flea Market during the day. Great food & snacks will be available. Dealers will be indoors\, in tents and open-air\, as the market goes rain or “MOON SHINE”! As always\, the fun is in the hunt. Bring ‘FLASHLIGHTS”!\nSpecial guests: Doctor Ivan Cryptosis – Doctor Ivan Cryptosis. Center Square of Pop Culture and America’s Pitchman. Horror Host\, Comic\, Ventriloquist\, or Quizmaster. He is a man of many roles. He is joined by his sidekick Professor Varnus Lupescu. Entertainment and fun is everywhere…\nAlso\, Jeff Balke – Jeff Balke is an entrepreneur\, writer\, voice actor and upcoming producer/director of his own animations. He founded his own animation studio\, Jeff Balke Studios\, which focuses on 2D Animation (both traditional and digital Animation). He’s created a number of characters\, but is best known for Stanley and Friends (Stanley Squirrel\, Natasha Squirrel\, Chester\, Baby Fang\, Billy Billington and Bandit). In addition to creating animation\, his studio also produced their first all ages comic called Stanley’s Ghost\, which was Eisner nominated\, starting their own line of weekly comic strips and kids books.
