Miss McHenry County Fair Pageant

The Miss McHenry County Fair Pageant has been a tradition at the McHenry County Fair for over 61 years. Our pageant provides a scholarship to the new Miss Queen helping her to pursue her educational hopes
and dreams. In 2016, the pageant expanded its opportunities becoming Miss McHenry County Fair Pageants, including a Jr. Teen (Ages 9-13) and Teen (Ages 13-17) as well as a Noncompete Princess Mentoring Program (Ages 5-9). The Miss Contestants must be ages 17 and a senior - 21 years of age prior to the State Pageant the following January.

Lumberjack Show
Free Grandstand Event
beginning at 7:00 pm




The complete All American Lumberjack Show will keep everyone on the edge of there seats for the entire two hour program. Ten lumberjack events are run in head to head competition format with lots of interaction with the audience who along with the lumberjacks are on a red or blue team. Events of Log Rolling, OP Race, Axe Throwing, Spring Board Tree Topping, Single Buck, 2 Man X-cut Sawing, Stock Saw Racing, Hot Saw Racing, Quick Carve & Log Boom Racing. Carvings made in the show are given away to someone in the audience. The competitive events will run first followed by meet & greet autographs and hands on lumberjack camp events.
