Now that we’ve had a little time to rest and refle

Now that we’ve had a little time to rest and reflect on all the fun from last week, we want to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year’s McHenry County Fair so special!

To our vendors, volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, first responders, and everyone who played a part in bringing the fair to life, we truly couldn’t do it without you.

We’re already looking forward to seeing you all again next year and continuing to make the McHenry County Fair something special for our community year after year.

Keep an eye out over the next week or two as we share some of the magic captured at this year’s fair!

The Demo Derby IS happening tonight, but we're going to move up the time to 5:30pm in an effort to beat the rain tonight.

Plan ahead, arrive early, bring a jacket, and let's watch some cars smash into each other!

With the questionable weather today we’ve had a bunch of people reach out and ask if the carnival will still be open, and the answer is yes!

Some rides may have delays depending on the weather, but will be otherwise be operating as usual!

We can't believe it's almost over!

Yesterday we got to watch all of the hard work pay off for tons of exhibitors at the livestock auction. It truly is amazing to see all of the support from our local businesses and community.

We also had the open horse show, hay bale throwing contest, two tractor and truck pull shows in the grandstands, a performance by the midwest renegades and other great performers in the horse arena, and capped the night off with the FREE concert from Feudin' Hillbillys.

We have a bunch of great things going on this morning. A Donut eating competition sponsored by @country_donuts , the Master Showmanship competition, Pee Wee Dairy show, the open Horse Fun show, and the Funny Bunny show.

Closing the night out, we have the demolition derby in the grandstands sponsored by Expert Roofing & J. Blanton Plumbing!

It's the last day of the fair, so get out there and make some memories!

Today at 5:30 in the Hanson Pavilion is our annual Hay Bale Throwing Competition sponsored by Bauer Farms! Sign-up starts at 5:00, and it's completely FREE to enter!

Seeing all these kids participating in all the different events, that's what the fair is all about!

We had mutton busters, pedal pullers, horse riders, singers, dancers and animal showers all get out there and give it their all!

Tons of Fun Activities and ways to compete today!
We start the morning off with the Open Horse Show in the Horse Arena and close the night out with @feudinhillbillys in the Beer Garden!

In the grandstands we have 2 heats of Truck and Tractor Pulls in the grandstands with the first being a free to attend event featuring your classic tractors and trucks. The second one later in the day will have more of the Hot-rodded type trucks and tractors and is a ticketed event.

Just outside the beef barn we'll be continuing with Day 2 of the Pedal Pulls, and in the Hansen Pavilion we have the Livestock Auction at noon, and the Haybale Throwing Competition Sponsored by Bauer Farms !

Yesterday was an absolute blast! We watched some

Yesterday was an absolute blast!

We watched some great racers take on the track and battle head to head in their respective races, People of all ages stuffed their faces full of corn in the corn eating contest, and we saw some pretty uncanny resemblances in the Mother/Daughter and Father/Son look a like contests!

It was a pretty ideal fair day. But don't worry if you missed it, there's still tons of more fun to be had today!

Livestock in the morning, Rodeo at night, and a whole lot of fun in between. Check out the Goats, Pigs, Cows and Sheep up in Hansen Pavilion, or swing down to the Horse Arena to check out the 4H Horse Show!

Livestock not your thing? The first pedal pull competition starts today at 4, plus we have the Talent Contest, Mutton Bustin' and the Rodeo at 7, All followed up by a FREE all-ages performance by Alex Miller playing his hit country songs in the Grandstands Beer Garden.

It truly is going to be a magical day at the Fair, and we hope to see you there!

What happened yesterday?

For starters, we don't let a little rain bring our day down. The day started off with Livestock and Home Arts Judging, followed by Free cookie decorating provided by @Blessed Little Kitchen and more Livestock and Home Arts shows, and concluded with our Vintage Tractor Veterans Salute and Pizza Eating Contest.

Also, you may have seen our ticket drops throughout the day, be sure to stay tuned to our socials, as they'll continue to happen throughout the week/weekend.

Tons of great things on the docket for today. A variety of livestock shows to fill the morning and afternoon, Banjo Buddies in the Midway Beer Garden, paint rocks with the 2026 Miss McHenry County Pageants Queens , the Father Son and Mother Daughter Look-a-like contests, and wrap the night up with the Corn Eating Contest and Quad Racing in the Grandstands by @Kickabuda Promotions , Sponsored by Ralph's Rental & @Bad Boy Mowers .
