Each year a variety of businesses and independent donors sponsor the McHenry County Fair. These sponsorships are generally monetary donations. However, Sherwin Williams donated its services to power wash and paint the exteriors of four fairgrounds buildings leading up to the annual McHenry County Fair. This service donation coincides our local Woodstock Sherwin Williams’ mission to help “level up” the community.
When we spoke with Erik Johnson, the Woodstock Sherwin Williams Store Manager, he said “The McHenry County Fair is a place to showcase talent, bring people together, and create memories. It also allows businesses like mine to help connect people together and showcase the talent of our workers.” All of this made the McHenry County Fairgrounds the perfect recipient for these donated services.
This generous donation consisted of a full crew of Sherwin Williams power washers and painters, with multiple crews working on all four buildings over the course of three days. The crew also came in and completed the work with just under 30 days until the 2024 McHenry County Fair. However, Sherwin Williams completed the work quickly and flawlessly.
All clean and with a fresh coat of paint the four buildings were in prime condition for the McHenry County Fair. However, thanks to the quality of work, these buildings will be enjoyed in their premiere condition for years to come.
