Do you want to earn money for your group, school club, athletic teams, youth groups, or nonprofit group? Volunteering at the McHenry County Fair is a fun and paid volunteer opportunity perfect for raising money. Volunteers also receive FREE admission and parking!
McHenry County Fair volunteer hours can also be applied towards school community service hours.

This year the McHenry County Fair begins Tuesday, July 30 and ends Sunday, August 4, 2024.
We need volunteers 14 years or older to help sell or take tickets in our ticket booths. These are usually 4 hour shifts that start as early as 7 am and run through 9 pm. We will need some students to help with ticket scanning or usher capacity for our grandstand events as well.
We pay $10 per hour for each hour worked to a group, organization, or charity of your choice. Here is an example of a payout for last year’s fair. 8 students working 4.0 hours earned $320.00 for their organization.
We’re using signup.com to organize our volunteers for the 2024 McHenry County Fair. As in the past, we are looking for people to take and sell tickets and grandstand ushers during the fair.
When you come to work you will designate what group you would like to donate to. After the fair we will write a check to each club, team or organization that has students and/or parents work during the fair.
