What happened yesterday?

For starters, we don't let a little rain bring our day down. The day started off with Livestock and Home Arts Judging, followed by Free cookie decorating provided by @Blessed Little Kitchen and more Livestock and Home Arts shows, and concluded with our Vintage Tractor Veterans Salute and Pizza Eating Contest.

Also, you may have seen our ticket drops throughout the day, be sure to stay tuned to our socials, as they'll continue to happen throughout the week/weekend.

The Thursday schedule is up! Tons of great things

The Thursday schedule is up!

Tons of great things on the docket for today. A variety of livestock shows to fill the morning and afternoon, Banjo Buddies in the Midway Beer Garden, paint rocks with the 2026 Miss McHenry County Pageants Queens , the Father Son and Mother Daughter Look-a-like contests, and wrap the night up with the Corn Eating Contest and Quad Racing in the Grandstands by @Kickabuda Promotions , Sponsored by Ralph's Rental & @Bad Boy Mowers .

Plus tons of other FREE events throughout the day!

Building D is our primary indoor vendor space home to tons of amazing local vendors, the Fair Office, and the Farm Bureau Food Stand!

Due to the potential inclement weather tonight, the Draft Horse Pulls and Round Bale Rumble tonight have been cancelled.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but invite you to come out and enjoy all of the other things the fair has to offer!

Don't miss our Veterans Tractor Parade and Salute at 6pm in the grandstands today Wednesday August 5th!

There will be tons of vintage tractors on display driven by members of the local community paying homage to our fallen brothers and sisters who have served to protect our great nation.

Yesterday was an absolute movie! Day 1 consisted

Yesterday was an absolute movie!

Day 1 consisted of the crowning or our new Queens, Princesses, King & Prince. We also had our exhibitors showing up and showing their goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys and more. And it all started with our veterans salute and ceremonial flag raising.

And we can't wait to do it all over again today!

Building C is an air-conditioned vendor and entertainment space that hosts the Food Eating Competitions, the Live Raptor Presentations, and tons of great vendors!

For $35, you can ride as many rides, as many times as you want from 1-5pm!

Wristbands will be available at the carnival ticket booth run by Skinner's Amusements

Registration is now OPEN for this year's Father/So

Registration is now OPEN for this year's Father/Son & Mother/Daughter Look-a-like Contest at the McHenry County Fair!

If you've ever heard, "You look just like your dad!" or "You two could be twins!", now's your chance to prove it. Grab your partner, strike your best matching pose, and compete for bragging rights as this year's look-a-like duo!

The Registration for the Inaugural Round Bale Rumb

The Registration for the Inaugural Round Bale Rumble is now live!

This event will take place Wednesday, August 5th following the Draft Horse Pulls in the grandstands.

Cash prizing will be awarded to the top teams based on how many teams sign up to compete. (The more teams, the bigger the prize pool.)

This is a FREE TO ENTER, all ages, single elimination bracket style tournament, so push your heart out!
